Hello families! As you all know, Valentine’s Day is Monday and we look forward to students exchanging Valentine cards/candy during their party. I know many of you would like to send gifts in the form of stuffed animals and balloons. However, gifts will not be allowed to be delivered or brought to school. This decision is based on students getting on the bus with some gift items that might interfere with the driver’s view. Also, we don’t want any students to lose or damage their gift on the bus. Yes, I realize that all students don’t ride the bus but this decision is for all students regardless of their mode of transportation. We do hope you understand. Principal Coleman

Brianna Thomas, 4th grade Science teacher, is CSE’s December Star Staff Member! This star is one that is determined to do a job well done but prefers not to be in the spotlight. It is my desire that we all work together; helping each other because when one shines we all shine and this star doesn’t mind helping to make CSE shine. This star is new to this ever changing world of education. Although this educational journey of highs and lows can trigger all kinds of emotions, Ms. Thomas still displays a can do and will do attitude. Keep shining your light! CSE thanks you for all of your efforts!

CSE’s Star Staff of the Month are Jeannette Houser, SPED teacher and Tony Lambert, ABBCO Staff. Ms. Houser’s spirit glows from the inside out. I’ve observed her interaction with students and if you ever get the chance to see what I have seen you would know she is the blessing for her students. All teachers should have a passion for what they do but when you choose to work in special education there has to be true love, desire, and dedication to serve the diverse needs of students. This star works hard to improve the outcomes of all students regardless of their learning needs and she is greatly appreciated. Mr. Lambert helps to provide a safe environment by helping to keep our campus clean, supervising students, and encouraging and helping staff throughout the building. Some of the things that this star does, nobody asks him to do but when he sees a need he just steps in…and I know I can speak for many if not each and every staff member at CSE that he is greatly appreciated for all that he does.
