OHS Boys Basketball Team Sendoff & Pep Rally Recap! Today, our OHS family came together for an incredible sendoff and pep rally to celebrate our boys basketball team as they head to the State Tournament! The gym was filled with excitement and school spirit as students, staff, and community members cheered on our Seminoles and showed their purple & gold pride! Coach Gathen, a beloved retired OHS coach, delivered an inspiring message to the team, encouraging them to stay focused, give it their all, and make Osceola proud. CSE/Parent Meeting The monthly Parent Meeting was held at CSE, bringing together parents, students, staff, and Osceola School Board members. Key topics discussed included updates on ATLAS student Individual Reading Plans and Math Individual Plans, as well as insights into Middle of the Year Assessments and how to access this information. Osceola Middle School /Students Attend ANC Youth Summit! On Friday, ten 7th and 8th graders from Osceola Middle School attended the ANC Youth Summit at Arkansas Northeastern College! It was a day filled with engaging activities designed to inspire and challenge students as they explored how to use social media meaningfully, manage their emotions, and unlock their full potential. Students had an eye-opening experience with local law enforcement, driving a golf cart while wearing impaired goggles to simulate the effects of alcohol. They also participated in real-life scenario challenges that tested their decision-making and teamwork skills. A huge thank you to Counselor Terika Guy-Andrews, Career Development Teacher Lucilla Joplin, Career Counselor, and Mary Gaston for guiding our students through this incredible experience! Special appreciation to keynote speaker Zach Logan, who shared his personal journey of struggles and triumphs, leaving a lasting impact on our students. Osceola Students Shine at Lyon College Honors Band! Several of our talented students participated in the Honors Band at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas! Under the direction of Dr. Hannah Rudy from the University of Illinois, students were introduced to five concert pieces and collaborated with musicians from across the state to present a spectacular final performance. A special congratulations to each Junior and Senior, who received a $2,000 scholarship to attend Lyon College! We are so proud of their dedication and hard work! #webleedpurpleandgold
