Osceola, AR – In an era where education is a cornerstone of personal and societal growth, the Osceola School District has emerged as a shining example of academic progress and achievement. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, this school district has not only met but exceeded state recommended average growth in required subjects under the category of “School Value Added Growth”. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of students, educators, parents, and the entire community. In this article, we celebrate the remarkable progress OSD has made in state-required subjects. The Osceola School District is committed to providing an equal opportunity in its educational programs that assures each student of attaining the level of knowledge, skills, ideas, values, and attitudes necessary to achieve the greatest personal development possible.
The Arkansas Department of Education released the Public-School ratings for each school district in Arkansas. There were three schools within the Osceola School District, that far exceeded the state recommended ratings in English Language Arts and Mathematics. All the schools within the district were also rated the progress of how we student subgroups such as (Students with Disabilities, Economically Disadvantaged, Hispanic / Latino, Black or African American and White students.)
The growth of all student subgroups within the Osceola School District measured the following years 2021, 2022, and 2023. Each student enrolled was tested based on the in state-required subjects and the progress OSD students are making is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the entire educational community. From dedicated educators who go the extra mile to inspire their students to engaged parents who support their children's learning journey, OSD stands as a beacon of educational excellence.
As we celebrate the remarkable progress of OSD in English Language Arts and Mathematics we also look forward to a future where its students continue to thrive and contribute positively to society. The achievements of this school district remind us that with dedication, hard work, and a passion for learning, every student can reach new heights of academic success. The Osceola School District has not only met state standards in required subjects but has set a standard of excellence that inspires us all.
